Calm Unity Practices

Calm Unity Practices (CUP) is a GROUP OF curious beings who continuously strive to learn. They try different ways and means of creatively “being” to leave this world a better place for our younger generations to come.

We are dedicated to exploring transformational practices that support health and wellness. Here, you’ll find virtual workshops in targeted areas, as well as a direct connection to experts who can provide more advanced learning. Together, we’ll explore ways to achieve individual alignment of mind, body and spirit, while contributing to global wellbeing.

From Chaos to Calm…

Why “calm” unity? Calm is thought to be a more constructive state from which to create, innovate, and problem solve. In contrast to “chaos” where the fight/flight response is more likely triggered (heart rate/blood pressure high, breathing shallow). If chaos reigns, it can be difficult to achieve clarity and creativity which then makes it more difficult to appreciate one another’s perspectives and contributions. This can make it challenging to keep the “desired outcome” in mind. Is it even possible to achieve “unity” in situations where “chaos” reigns?

True unity arises when authentic selves interact with other authentic selves, working to support a shared objective. What does that mean? Essentially, we need to uncover a mutual goal and strive to achieve it… and to do so, we need to communicate!

Intrapersonal Unity:

When an individual experiences mind, body, and spirit aspects of self as being aligned.

Interpersonal Unity:

When two or more beings experience their shared dynamic as being aligned in purpose or “in sync” – paddling in the same direction / dancing as one….

Global Unity:

When individuals worldwide share a common purpose that serves to guide their actions. What would that purpose be?

So, when we have a goal of working toward global unity, why start with the self?

It all starts with self. By each of us taking stock of where we’re at; accepting our imperfections and acknowledging areas of potential growth; the better equipped we are to choose daily practices in service of that growth. Then we are better able to engage with others as our best selves. At C.U.P. we believe that the more our interpersonal dynamics are based on individuals being aligned in mind, body, and spirit, the greater the chance those dynamics are productive and mutually respectful. That being the case, then the greater the chance of outcomes being constructive and innovative. The more our community grows to embrace members from all over the globe, the greater the chance our positive ripples expand exponentially.

So, within this culture of collaboration, we are going to take a deep dive into various practices that support each of us aligning ourselves in mind, body, and spirit.

Practices we’ll explore:
  • Setting the intent to engage within this culture
  • Visioning, setting goals, creating vision boards, taking vision boards to another level
  • Exploring practices for aligning mind, body, and spirit
  • Breathing, Meditating, Being in Nature, Moving the body, Taking care of our bodies – inside and out – movement and nutrition, Creating, Enjoying the arts (music, dance, performance),
  • Being mindful of and nurturing our energy systems.
  • Taking care in our being with and relating to others.
  • Developing Mindfulness, Embodied Intelligence, Emotional Intelligence

So let’s get started…
